Blinds have either horizontal or vertical slats that can be adjusted to control light and privacy (horizontal blinds and vertical blinds). Besides great versatility, blinds are a very affordable window covering option.
Vertical Blinds – affordability and wide spans:
Vertical blinds are still a great option, especially for very large windows or sliding doors. We carry a wide rage of verticals, including: Very affordable commercial vinyl verticals, attractive textured vinyl blinds, and cloth vertical blinds.
Horizontal Blinds – affordable and timeless:
Aluminum blinds: Aluminum horizontal blinds are inexpensive, lightweight, and come in a multitude of colors. Still a great choice for large office windows, rentals, or homeowners on a budget. Consider 2” slats instead of the traditional 1” miniblinds for a more contemporary look.
Faux wood blinds:
Faux wood horizontal blinds with 2” solid poly slats are just slightly higher in price than aluminum blinds, but offer the wood blind look. Available in a variety of white tones and convincing wood stain looks. Composite faux woods have stronger and more rigid slats than poly faux woods at about the price of standard wood blinds. Faux wood blinds are great for damp environments without the worry of warping or cracking.
Largest selection of “whites” and stains. Wood blinds are lighter than faux woods, making them easier to lift and available for windows up to 96” wide. The lighter weight and rigid nature of wood blinds also means fewer support ladders. Brands of blinds offered include: Hunter Douglas Everwood and Country Wood Blinds, Kathy Ireland Home by Alta, Mariak, Blinds West, Levolor and Portrait.
